Job description and duties:
- Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
- Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
- Leads the design of network and computer security measures.
- Charged with research and recommendations affecting network and data communications hardware and software.
- Evaluate, develop, and deliver technical input to the systems engineering process.
- Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation.
- Interact with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
- Oversee the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
- Work with other program personnel such as engineers, developers, and testers.
- Communicate with Government and other mission partners.
- Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
- Analyze complex information and independently takes appropriate actions to resolve problems.
- Provide engineering guidance to technical staff and establishes effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners.
- Deliver briefings on complex topics to groups, which may include high-level decision makers.
- Work complex research projects as senior contributors and as part of an integrated research team.
- Design and deliver solution.
Location: Columbia, MD
Qualifications:
- Possess an Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and Counterintelligence Polygraph
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering or related discipline
- Exposure to Cloud/AWS
- Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF)
- Able to build systems from the ground up – network architecture/systems engineering
- Active CISSP, CASP+CE, CSSLP certification (minimum DoD 8570 IASAE Level II Certification)
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $160,000. Final salary is commensurate upon education and applicable years of experience.
