Malware Analyst III

SPYROS Information & Technology Consulting is looking for an experienced Malware Analyst to directly support an ongoing project in support of United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM).

 

As a Malware Analyst, you will employ engineering techniques and processes to analyze software to identify vulnerabilities, re-create programs to rebuild similar capabilities, exploits weaknesses, strengthen defenses, and conduct vulnerability assessments/penetration tests of information systems. You will have the opportunity to develop design specifications to counter other malware capabilities, and protect and defend USCYBERCOM infrastructure. You will develop, research, and maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer and network vulnerabilities, data hiding, and encryption. This position requires an in-depth understanding of security concepts, protocols, processes, architectures, and tools (authentication and access control technologies, intrusion detection, network traffic analysis, incident handling, media/malware analysis, etc.), malware and programming skills to include C/C++ and Assembly language, and detailed understanding of how network-based attacks work at the operating system and/or protocol level.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Malware Analyst
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
  • Minimum of DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IASAE Level II or Computer Network Defense (CND) Certification, DOD 8140/8570 CNDSP Analyst/Infrastructure Support/Incident Responder certified
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • ACTIVE TS/SCI + CI POLY REQUIRED
